Through its team of product marketing specialists based in Richmond and its overseas office in Hong Kong, the Office of International Marketing offers a wide variety of export marketing services to assist Virginia companies and international buyers in developing business partnerships. Their services include:

1. Developing markets and locating customers through market studies, trade missions, trade show participation, and accompanying international buyers to call on Virginia producers.
2. Maintaining a comprehensive database of both forest product producers and overseas buyers to assist matching trade leads with potential producers.
3. Expediting trade lead inquiries by acting as a clearinghouse for qualifying the exporting opportunities collected from government and trade associations. Inquiries to trade leads are monitored and followed-up to help consummate a sale.
4. Providing export marketing assistance including financial arrangements and terms of payment, transportation and shipping documentation.
